Lysa Menu
Soprano
Season 25-26 saw French soprano Lysa Menu sing her first Pamina Die Zauberflöte for the TOBS (Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn) in Switzerland, the Fourth Maid Elektra at the Opéra de Metz in France, First Nymph Rusalka for the NOF in Fribourg, Switzerland, Mezzo vs Soprano, a show she devised with mezzo Julia Deit-Ferrand for the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Dvořák's Stabat Mater at the Lausanne Cathedral.
Future plans include her first Violetta La Traviata at the Estivales de Brou in France, Waldvogel Siegfried with the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome, conducted by Daniel Harding and Prima Donna La Grande Histoire de l'opéra at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
After having completed a European tour as Juno & Amore Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria with Emiliano Gonzalez Toro's I Gemelli (including at the Teatro Real Madrid, Théâtre National du Capitole in Toulouse, Opéra de Bordeaux, Bozar in Brussels and in Geneva) she sang Kseniya Boris Godunov at the Opéra d’Avignon; and more recently, Adelaide in Handel’s Lotario in Payerne, Switzerland and a New Year concert at the Opéra de Saint-Étienne.
She had previously sung Donna Elvira Don Giovanni in Royaumont, in a production by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier, a role she reprised along two other Mozart/Da Ponte roles: Susanna Le nozze di Figaro and Fiordiligi Così fan tutte,at the Estivales de Brou under Laurent Touche; as well as Loulou Dédé (Christiné) at the Opéra de Lausanne and Madame Binz Casanova in der Schweiz (Paul Burkhard) at the TOBS. The Opéra de Toulon invited her for a recital with orchestra in May 2023, under the baton of Léo Warynski.
Lysa has also won 2nd Prize at the Concours International de Mâcon and was awarded the prestigious Bourse Menda by the Opéra-Comique, who invited her for several recitals.
Lysa studied at the HEMU in Lausanne, where she obtained her master degree with Frédéric Gindraux and Jean-Philippe Clerc, and laureated from the Exzellenz-Labor Gesang led by Hedwig Fassbender and the Académie Philippe Jaroussky in Paris.

Parmi ses projets, sa première Violetta La Traviata aux Estivales de Brou en France, le Waldvogel Siegfried avec l'Accademia Santa Cecilia à Rome, sous la direction de Daniel Harding et la Prima Donna La Grande Histoire de l'opéra au Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Après une tournée européenne avec l’ensemble I Gemelli (Teatro Real de Madrid, Capitole de Toulouse, Opéra de Bordeaux, Bozar de Bruxelles, BFM de Genève, etc.) avec Juno & Amore Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria, Lysa Menu a chanté Xenia Boris Godounov à l'Opéra d'Avignon, puis plus récemment, Adelaide Lotario (Haendel) à Payerne en Suisse et un Concert du Nouvel An à l'Opéra de Saint-Étienne, sous la direction de Laurent Touche.
Elle avait auparavant chanté Donna Elvira Don Giovanni à Royaumont, sous la direction artistique de Moshe Leiser et Patrice Caurier, rôle qu'elle a repris, ainsi que deux autres rôles Mozart/Da Ponte : Susanna Le nozze di Figaro et Fiordiligi Così fan tutte,aux Estivales de Brou, sous la baguette de Laurent Touche ; ainsi que Loulou Dédé (Christiné) à l’Opéra de Lausanne et Madame Binz Casanova in der Schweiz (Paul Burkhard) au TOBS. L'Opéra de Toulon l'a invitée pour un récital avec orchestre en mai 2023, sous la direction de Léo Warynski.
Elle avait remporté le 2ème Prix au Concours International de Mâcon 2021, et reçu la prestigieuse Bourse Menda attribuée par l'Opéra-Comique, qui l'avait par la suite invitée pour plusieurs récitals.
Lysa Menu est titulaire d’un Master de Concert à la Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, dans la classe de Frédéric Gindraux et Jean-Philippe Clerc, et lauréate de l'Exzellenz-Labor Gesang avec Hedwig Fassbender et de l’Académie Philippe Jaroussky à la Seine Musicale de Paris.
