Delphine Guévar

Franco-Belgian soprano Delphine Guévar studied for her Master's Degree in Opera at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne.
After her debut at Wuppertal Opera as Despinio in Martinu's Greek Passion and performances in Kurt Weill's Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at Oper Köln, she has moved into the jugendlich-dramatisch soprano repertoire, exploring roles such as Gluck’s Alceste, Vitellia La clemenza di Tito, Leonore Fidelio, Chimène Le Cid, Elisabeth Tannhaüser, Chrysothemis Elektra, Tosca, and Marie Wozzeck.
A graduate in modern literature and greatly influenced by the world of Pina Bausch, she explores an approach to singing where body, voice and word interact in a search for authenticity. This openness leads her to involve herself in contemporary creation (first performances of works by Michel Musseau - L'Ébloui at the Opéra National de Paris and at the Opéra de Rouen – as well as by Patrick Burgan and Théodore Lambert) and to take part in a production of Shakespeare's Henry VI directed by Thomas Jolly.
She has just sung the First Elf in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night's Dream with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, under Riccardo Minasi and Marguerite in Honegger’s Jeanne au Bûcher, also with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, this time under Alan Gilbert.
La soprano franco-belge Delphine Guévar obtient un Master d’Opéra à la Hochschule für Musik und Tanz de Cologne. Après ses débuts à l’Opéra de Wuppertal dans la Passion Grecque (Despinio) de Martinu et dans Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (Ein Mädchen) de Kurt Weill à l’Opéra de Cologne, elle se tourne vers le grand répertoire d’opéra pour soprano jugendlich-dramatisch, explorant des rôles tels Alceste (Gluck), Vitellia La clemenza di Tito, Leonore Fidelio, Chimène Le Cid, Elisabeth Tannhäuser, ChrysothemisElektra, Tosca et Marie Wozzeck.
Diplomée en lettres modernes et très influencée par l’univers de Pina Bausch, elle explore une approche du chant où le corps, la voix et le mot dialoguent dans une recherche d’authenticité. Cette ouverture l’amène à s’investir dans la création contemporaine (création d'œuvres de Michel Musseau [L'Ébloui à l'Opéra de Paris et à l'Opéra de Rouen], Patrick Burgan et Théodore Lambert) et à participer à la création du Henri VI de Shakespeare mis en scène par Thomas Jolly.
Elle a tout récemment chanté le Premier Elfe Le Songe d'une Nuit d'Été (Mendelssohn) avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, sous la direction de Riccardo Minasi et Marguerite Jeanne au Bûcher (Honegger), également avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, cette fois sous la direction d'Alan Gilbert.
